Alexander the Grape

We are pleased to announce that our baby boy, Alexander Edward Schram, finally decided to enter the world on Friday, January 14th at 2:42am.

Thanks for all of your comments and support these last few weeks as we have been patiently waiting for him to make his debut.  We couldn't be happier to finally be sharing news of his arrival!

6 lbs. 7 oz. 20 inches

He was born with lots of brown hair and after his first bath, we discovered it is long and shiny!  Lucky guy!  And he definitely got his daddy's dimpled chin.  I'll try and get some updated pictures soon, after I can catch a few Zs.  It's true what they say about new moms being sleep deprived, but Aaron has been a great help stepping into his new role as a daddy.  So far, Alexander has been a pretty mellow baby, but time will tell if that will change!

When we announced his name, my dad couldn't help but comment on how suiting his name was for some grape growers.  "He's Alexander the Grape!"

Honestly, we hadn't really thought of that. So while we don't really intend to call him that, we are still working on the best nickname for him. We love the name Alexander on its own and also love that it has so many nickname options.  We just have to decide which one suits him best.  We think he's just perfect and already love him so much!
